About Us
Sussex Travel Clinic is a nurse-led immunisation centre and is run by Helen Thorpe RGN and Jane Bell RGN.
Helen’s interest in travel health began in 1998 when she was working as a practice nurse. Helen was responsible for the setting up and running of the British Airways Travel Clinic franchise at the practice. This later became a MASTA (Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad) travel clinic. The importance of giving travel health advice and immunisations was later re-enforced by Helen’s eight years experience as a repatriation nurse.
Jane
has over twelve years practical experience in travel health.
Jane has worked as a practice nurse in Brighton and Shoreham. Her interest in travel health began when she was a travel health advisor at the MASTA clinic in Brighton. Jane has a love of travel and in the past has been backpacking
across the world including Thailand, Europe and Africa.
Helen and Jane’s combined years experience in travel health led them to the decision to set up their own travel clinic. They also run an internet company World Wide Nets – which sells travel health products.
